A Columbus man accused of killing a father of two appeared in recorder's court Saturday afternoon.

Thirty-one year-old Oscar James Senior pled not guilty to the April shooting of 31 year-old Charles Willis on Lawyers Lane in Columbus.

Police say Senior used a revolver in the attack, striking Willis in the head.  Senior is being charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The victim's family filled the courtroom; you could feel the tension in the room.  At one point the judge had to call order due to the family becoming loud during testimony.  Senior is being held in the Muscogee County Jail with no bond.
