Chinese restaurant robbed at gunpoint, employee shot

A Columbus man is recovering after being shot during a robbery Friday night.

According to Police reports, a group of 5 African American men, three with guns, stormed into the China Inn Express on Victory Drive demanding money.

We spoke with an employee there who said they gave the men all that was in the register, which was a couple hundred dollars.

However, the thieves weren't satisfied so they started searching the employees...that's when an altercation began and the man was shot in the left leg.

We're told he's currently recovering at home.
