COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) - Taneathia Favors is one out of several people who called the FOX 54 news room concerned about Food Stamp benefits for the month of November.

Favors tells us she should have gotten her benefits on November 6th. She also told us, afterm making constant calls Tuesday afternoon to the Muscogee County Division of Family and Children Services, she still does not know when she will get her food stamps for this month.

"It's just been a run around ever sense... I work and go to school, so I'm fortunate that I can provide for my family right now," Favors said.

"My daughter has a safety net, but what about the people that don't have a safety net? What about the senior citizens?" said Twilla Brooks.

The Georgia State Department of Human Services says they have a huge backlog of cases because they switch to an online renewal process.

From now on, benefits will now be distributed based on the last two digits of the Client ID for the head of household, according to the Georgia Dept. of Human Services.
